JUVÉDERM® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It is also known as a filler and is the only FDA approved filler to last up to 1 year.
 
JUVÉDERM® treatments provides an easy and instant cosmetic enhancement that can give you a refreshed look. It smoothes wrinkles and restores volume – reversing the signs of aging. It can also be used to enhance facial features such as your lips and cheeks for added fullness and definition with a natural look.

JUVÉDERM® is injected into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur. It temporarily adds volume to the skin and may give the appearance of smoother lines. Typical areas injected include; naso-labial folds (from corner of nose down to lip line), marionette lines (side of mouth down towards chin), cheek, and is also used to enhance lip volume.

With JUVÉDERM® the injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. And now with the newest formulation of JUVÉDERM® ultra plus (with lidocaine), the effects of lidocaine take place in seconds, potentially reducing the need for further anesthetic.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
It is recommended that you avoid any medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), for at least a week prior to treatment. This will reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE
If this is your first visit, your we will ask about your medical history, including any allergies you may have or medications you may be taking, and will tell you more about your JUVÉDERM® treatment. Unlike animal-derived collagen filler injections, JUVÉDERM® does not require an allergy test.

FUTURE TREATMENTS
Our doctor will examine your skin to assess the depth of wrinkles and folds in order to determine your treatment. We may even take pre-treatment photographs so you can see the difference after treatment.
